I’ve taken the basic schedule rotation, annual leave, OT availability and combined it all into one place.
You can look at the entire year at once or break it down by pay period. You can also limit it to just showing your own information. If there’s too much to look at you can toggle the Leave and OT rows.
This is basically the template that we’ll use to build the schedule. I can’t 100% guarantee it’s what will be published. Remember management still gets their fingers in all this. Next year, since EV is headed north, Twigg will take over the schedule. Cooper will likely be ecstatic, I’m holding off on judgement.
The rotation of shifts you see in the spreadsheet does take into account all the leave we just bid. I’m happy to say that the mid rotation only broke once, and it was Tabitha’s fault. It doesn’t happen until June, we’ll fix it before then. You’ll also see that I scheduled every trainee for coverage on their first day of the week. Surprisingly, that worked incredibly well so I’ll be negotiating with Frank to make it permanent. We always try to use the trainees as coverage once a week anyway, so this won’t be a big change.
You all bid OT availability with your RDOs. It’s reflected in the spreadsheet by a red B. I’m operating under the assumption that you all would like to protect every third weekend from OT assignments. If you really don’t want that, let me explain why you’re wrong: SOMEBODY on your RDOs is probably getting assigned OT that they don’t want. Trade it! If you’re always available for OT you’re just handing a gift to management. Hand a gift to your brotha or sista instead. That said, if you must, let me know and we’ll make you available every week.
Do actually look through the year and let me know if you see any issues with your schedule or anyone else’s. I did most of the original spreadsheet by hand which invites errors, and had Claude run through it, which is practically begging for something to get messed up.
Hope you all like the new site.
